Learning outcomes
This subject is mainly focused on cytology, molecular biology and microbiology principles, which are used in recombinant therapeutics preparation. Students will be familiarized with recombinant techniques, gene and protein engineering, and gene therapy as well. Attention will be also paid to industrial biotechnology and production of significant products, such as antibiotics, vitamins, organic acids, amino-acids and alkaloids.
